What are the cultural industries advocating for in Augusta in 2026? What opportunities are in front of the Maine legislature this year?

In preparation for Cultural Advocacy Day 2026, hear from CAM alongside Maine Archives & Museums, Maine Library Association, Maine Film Association, and Maine Preservation about initiatives underway to:

  • improve film & visual media tax credits
  • expand historic preservation tax credits
  • understand barriers to health insurance for culture workers
  • protect funding for essential statewide library services
  • defend property tax exemption for cultural non-profits

This workshop is part of a virtual advocacy learning series present by CAM ahead of Cultural Advocacy Day on 3/19/26, to prepare the arts and culture sector for collective action work in 2026 and beyond.

For more advocacy tools, visit CAM’s website.
