Climate Movement Research by Youth for Youth: The Listen Project Executive Report

In December 2023, the Onion Foundation, the Barr Foundation, and the Broad Reach Foundation co-funded Maine Youth for Climate Justice and the Maine Environmental Changemakers Network to conduct a landscape analysis of Maine’s youth climate movement. What resulted was a first-of-its-kind research project of the youth climate movement by the young people at the forefront of that movement.

We've compiled the key data derived from the Listen Project's research endeavor into a comprehensive executive report, focusing on insights from both individual youth climate movement participants and youth-led organizations. Explore the report to learn more about how young Mainers are showing up in climate-focused advocacy and activism — and what they need from the adults and organizations around them to contribute more fully.
