Over the past several years, we’ve been thinking about the future of the Onion Foundation. We’ve spent time talking with people and thinking about our goals and our responsibility to steward the foundation's resources to support the community.
When we decided to spend down the foundation's assets and define a sunset date, people asked us why we made that decision and how we landed on our timeline. We wrote this article to explain our reasoning behind those decisions and how spending down the assets supports the goals we hoped to achieve when we created the foundation in 2014.
