Onion Foundation Spring/Fall Cycle Grants are intended to support organizations or projects that align with our mission priority areas: Conservation and Stewardship of the Natural Environment or the Promotion of Music and the Arts in the state of Maine.

  • Spring & Fall Cycle Grants generally range between $5,000 and $20,000.

  • Only one Spring/Fall grant from an organization will be awarded in any calendar year. Organizations become eligible again in January of each year.

  • If a progress report has not been submitted for an active grant, organizations are asked to contact foundation staff before applying for a new grant.

  • Take our short Eligibility Quiz to determine if your organization is a good match to apply for a grant.

  • Review our Mission to make sure your request aligns.
